Still that's not a problem for me since I mix Trance & Progressive, and my mixing style is with the channel-faders so the x-fader is usually always on the center.

The cross-fader on my X-session Pro is better than the one on the Mixtrack. The cross-fader is decent although not meant for scratching. The channel faders are better than the pitch controls, with longer range and good overall feel. I don't use Auto-Sync and I can manage tempo pretty well with them. Pitch controls are rather small so don't expect super accurate response here, still they are enough for using it with Traktor. The jogs are definitely excellent for a $150 controller, in fact I think the jogs are the best part of the Mixtrack, very well built and responsive, and they are touch sensitive. I am sure that my laptop is over and above the minimum requirements for Traktor Pro, so I can only assume that the problem lies with driver 2.9.4.

I use a Lenovo G450 with 2GB RAM, Dual Core T4500 2.3Ghz with Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 32bit. I only get occassional cracks and pops when I do a lot of thing in the background for the lowest latency settings, but this disappears when I use the medium latency settings. I can even use the lowest latency settings without any problems.
As a last resort, I downgraded to driver 2.0.15 and presto, I am now able to use my Numark Mixtrack with Traktor Pro and Audio 4 DJ without any problems. I searched the Native Instruments forums and found out that a number of users have been having problems with driver 2.9.4. Whenever I look at the Audio 4 DJ Diagnostics, I always get a number of USB errors and Buffer underruns - but then again, I also get that using Traktor Scratch Pro, albeit without any noticeable audio dropouts whatsoever. I even tried concurrently running DPC Latency Checker with Traktor, and the result was "This machine should be able to handle real-time streaming of audio and/or video data without drop-outs." -even after I have already experienced audio dropouts for that session! I tried all possible buffer and sample frequency settings without success. The audio dropouts appear even without any obvious CPU load. The weird thing is this happens not in conjunction with any obvious CPU overload since I tried recreating the audio dropout by minimizing Traktor and doing a lot of things in the backround (loading other programs, searching Directories, etc.) without any success. The audio dropout is very obvious since it lasts for around 0.5 seconds. The Mixtrack works fine except for the fact that I have been experiencing audio dropouts randomly every 10 minutes or so. I connected the Mixtrack to my laptop and routed my Audio 4 DJ for use with Traktor Pro. I upgraded to Traktor Scratch Pro and have been using the Traktor Scratch Pro System (version 1.2.2 to 1.2.7) together with Audio 4 DJ (driver version 2.0.13 up to 2.9.4) without any problems.Ī few weeks ago, I purchased a Numark Mixtrack.
